Walk

(Please let someone know where you are going, if you are walking on your own, just in case you have an accident)

The Collingwood Heritage Walk features interpretation panels documenting the colourful history of the township and up to the Old Cemetery.

The walk to the Kaituna Forks (on the right between Rockville and Bainham is an easygoing 1 hour walk through native forest and rata.

There is a challenging 8 -10 hour walk called The Kaituna Track which goes from Westhaven Inlet, past Knuckle Point to the Kaituna River and Forks.

The Salisbury Bridges and waterfall are past Bainham, just off the main road.

The start of the Heaphy Track is 20kms from Collingwood, leading to Karamea.

The Wharariki beach and Cape Farewell have fabulous views, c.25kms from Collingwood.
