Go Wild With Weaving

Go Wild With Weaving is a small operation, based in Golden Bay, New Zealand.  2022 will be the ninth event, offering fourteen two-day weaving courses encouraging newcomers and experienced folk to come along, learn new weaving skills, meet new people and have fun.  The 2022 event will be in April, exact dates and programme are being finalised.

Weaving a Garlic Basket

Also, at Selwyn Community College on Saturday, 11th September 2021, 10 AM - 4 PM I am teaching a one day course on weaving a cane garlic basket.


Creating a Decorative Stone

At Selwyn Community College on Sunday 12th September 2021, 9.30-4.30, I am teaching a one day course on creating a gorgeous decorative stone.  Sometimes this is called Rock Wrapping, sometimes Stone Embellishing, and sometimes Looping.  It is an absorbing hobby using beach or river stones and colourful waxed thread.

   

Living Willow

Living Willow can be used for planting out your own willows, or to create pergolas, tunnels or playhuts. 

The next harvest and availability of stock will be June 2021.

Weaving Course in Taranaki

Create a magical driftwood and cane basket using a random-weave technique.

This course is being sponsored by the “ from out of the blue studio gallery”  as part of the gallery’s community outreach initiative to generate new learning opportunities in South Taranaki.

The course takes place on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th June, from 9-4.30.
