Go Wild With Weaving
Go Wild With Weaving is a small operation, based in Golden Bay, New Zealand. We have run six Go Wild With Weaving events and in 2018 we had 7 tutors (3 international, 4 local) and 90 students came to have fun and weave. If you want information about the 2019 event please use the contact form and I will put you on my mailing list so that you are one of the first to know what the line-up and timing are and you can secure your place ahead of the rest.
Our aim is to weave beautifully crafted, usable art pieces, stunning sculptural work and to run weaving courses to enthuse others with the craft.
Have a look at the art pieces.... you can specially commission something for yourself or as a gift. They are all one-offs and the pictures show what can be made using natural materials such as willow, cane, seagrass, supplejack, kiekie and bark, plus the occasional inclusion of man-made fibres too.
We make baskets on commission
We are very happy to make particular baskets to suit your requirements, so please contact us with what you want. We will provide a quote for the item and delivery to you.
Have a look at the many baskets and art pieces we have made for other customers on the following pages and commission one for yourself.
Our other speciality is willow coffins:
Our other speciality is Go Willow! woven willow coffins: for burials, cremations and of course, natural burials too. Our willow coffins are beautifully crafted, attractive and eco-friendly. They are made in Golden Bay (New Zealand) with willow grown in Golden Bay. This particular coffin has a willow lid with a central ridge made from untreated pine. Please go to the Go Willow! website, Caskets Section to see the specific colours and sizes of coffins that are in stock now, and available for immediate delivery.
